Florida

Back in August Sara told me that her and Jed were going to visit my mom in Florida and I thought it would be cool to surprise her by going myself...so I did. Sara and I had this all planned out for two months. She and Jed were going to fly in earlier, then take my mom to Orlando for some fun at Sea World and I was going to fly in when they were there to surprise her and did we ever! I think she cried for about an hour after I walked in the door. I hadn't seen my mom in almost two years. It was a great week with the three of them. We even got to have a mini family reunion with one of my Aunts (Lisa and her family) and my Uncle (Mark and his family) who both live in Florida too.

You can check out photos on my Flickr page. Don't forget to check out Jed's videos!!

3 Months

Let the count down officially begin.
Only three more months until I fly to England and three months from tomorrow I get to see and hug my sister (Jay and Jedd too).
Our little family reunion is just around the corner.
Italy is that much closer.
I still can't believe we are actually going.
Very excited to be doing this trip with Sara, Jay and Jed.
If I could add one additional person it would be Dianne.

As stressful as it is when I look at how much this trip is really going to cost and how easily I find myself getting overwhelmed with trying to save money, plan with them being so far away, its going to be worth every second. The time together, the places we'll see, the experiences, the memories, the getting lost in Venice, every little thing is worth it. This will be the longest I have seem my sister, Jay and Jed since before Jed was even born! A whole two and a half weeks together. Just starting to prepare for our future of living near each other. :)

Places we hope to see/do:
Venice
Florence
Rome
Traghetto or Vaporetto - Canal Gondola Ride
San Marcos Square
Michelangelo's David (Galleria Della'Accademia
Piazzale Michelangelo
Leaning Tower of Pisa
Vatican City
St. Peter's Square
Closseum
Sistine Chapel
Pantheon
Maybe even hear the Pope speak on New Years Day

Can't wait to see the beauty of this Country , eat the amazing food and take part in a little bit of the wine. Ohh and we can't forget the tiramisu (meig I will be sure to have a piece for you)

I need to start buying more chips for my camera, I plan to take as many photos as I possibly can!

Only three more months!

5 Amazing Years...

Happy Anniversary Sara and Jay!

Today has been five years that my awesome sister has married one of the best guys I have ever met in my life.

On August 17, 2002 I saw my sister walk down the aisle towards Jay to start what has become to me a great example of an awesome marriage. In every marriage there are ups and downs but with God truly being the center you see more of the good. They are truly an encouragement to me. I couldn't of asked for anyone better for my sister than Jay.

I will never forget the first time that Jay met my sister (for all of you who don't know, Jay and I were friends before he ever knew Sara). She was in a traveling drama ministry and they came to our Church for a performance. A little while later Jay asked how she was doing...he had only met her once and I'm pretty sure that is all he needed. I kept thinking, why does he care how Sara is doing and then it hit me!! She came back a few months later and we had some people over our apartment to hang out. He walked in and literally took her breath away...(so sweet).

They are the traveling couple for sure. A good chunk of their relationship was spent apart (especially hard when planning a wedding by the way). Jay was in Costa Rica, Egypt, California. Sara was in Romania for a bit. A year after they were married they moved to California, then two years later are in Maryland now they are living in England, oh where will these two end up next?? (hopefully closer to me?)

Two years ago today at 3:00 am I was woken up by a phone call. Before even answering it I knew I was going to become and Auntie!! Sure enough for their third wedding anniversary they were given the wonderful gift of becoming pregnant with Jed.

Here is to five amazing, adventurous years...can't wait to see whats to come! I love you and miss you tons. Thank you both for being so wonderful...

I heart you,
Jenny
